Yueyue

Plot Synopsis

In a village in the Qinling Mountains, there lived Yueyue and her father. There was a severe drought, and all the crops in the fields were withered by the sun. Caicai, who had grown up with Yueyue since childhood, came to their house and helped Yueyue carry water to irrigate the fields without complaining about the hardship. Menmen from the same village borrowed a water pump from the other side of the river. He told Yueyue that she wouldn't have to worry about irrigating the fields with it. Caicai and Yueyue's father thought that farmers were fated to work with the land, and carrying water bucket by bucket was more practical than anything else. However, the use of the water pump changed Yueyue's father's mind. Menmen expressed his love to Yueyue, which caused a conflict between Menmen and Caicai. Yueyue put on the acrylic sweater bought by Menmen, which led to her breakup with Caicai. But Yueyue didn't go away with Menmen. She hoped that the good qualities of both of them could be combined.
