Plot Synopsis

More than seventy years ago, thirty female Red Army soldiers joined the Long March of the First Front Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. They also measured the 25,000-li Long March route with their feet, and even walked more miles to do mass work. They also climbed snow-capped mountains, crossed grasslands, gnawed on tree barks, ate leather belts, were chased and blocked by the enemy, bombed by enemy planes, and even endured more hardships than the male soldiers. Due to the physiological characteristics of women, they suffered more both mentally and physically, paying a higher price. They withstood the more severe baptisms of war, involving life and death, blood and fire, love and hatred. Their ideals and names are engraved on the cornerstone of New China. They dedicated everything they had to the independence and liberation of the Chinese nation, to the dignity of women, and to the birth of New China.
