Plot Synopsis

In the 1980s, Qin Nianwan accompanied Song Yanting in his struggle from poverty to becoming the director of a machinery factory. However, her fiancé Song Yanting, repeatedly instigated by his ex-girlfriend An Zhizhi, slandered Qin Nianwan's injury from saving the machine tool as being faked with red ink, forcibly occupied the wedding house and forced her to give up the position of workshop director. What's more, he framed her and sent her to prison. Utterly heartbroken, Qin Nianwan cancelled the engagement and was admitted to Northwest University of Engineering.
