Plot Synopsis

The Empress Dowager was taking care of her pregnancy in the temporary imperial palace. When she was giving birth, the Emperor himself went out of the palace to attend to her. He had high hopes for the child in the Empress Dowager's womb. After the baby was born, the Emperor personally named the child and issued an imperial decree to grant amnesty throughout the country to pray for him. The Empress mistakenly thought that the Emperor had kept another woman outside the palace, so she sent people to inquire about her whereabouts. Taking advantage of the Emperor's absence, the Empress led people to break into the Empress Dowager's room, connived at her subordinates to verbally abuse the Empress Dowager and even laid hands on her to teach her a lesson, subjecting her to all kinds of humiliation. The Empress Dowager revealed her true identity, but the Empress and others not only didn't believe her, but also intensified their torture of her.
