Plot Synopsis

Yuchi Zongdu, who had become a powerful god in a certain realm, concealed his identity and went to find his fiancée Xia Qingyue. However, he learned that the Xia Group was in crisis and Xia Qingyue was forced by her family to marry Wang Jie from the Wang Group. Fortunately, Yuchi Zongdu arrived in time to stop this farce. Wang Jie was so resentful about this that he went to the Xia family to pick a quarrel, wanting to take Xia Qingyue back and humiliate Yuchi Zongdu. Unable to bear it any longer, Yuchi Zongdu called his subordinates and ordered them to bankrupt the Wang family and punished Wang Jie. Subsequently, Bai Yu, the younger brother-in-law of the city lord, came to the Xia family and stated that he wanted to marry Xia Qingyue. The parents of the Xia family then demanded that the engagement between Yuchi Zongdu and Xia Qingyue be annulled and also invited Bai Yu to attend the birthday banquet of the old master of the Xia family.
