Plot Synopsis

The male lead, Li Nanchen, was originally the crown prince of the Penglai Black Tortoise Clan. Due to an accident, he fell into the mortal world and was saved by the old grandmother of the Si family, creating a karmic connection. To repay the kindness of saving his life, Li Nanchen willingly became the protective immortal of the Si family. Years later, when Si Fuyao's life was hanging by a thread, Si Jingci, the later mistress of the Si family, begged Li Nanchen to save Si Fuyao. In order to save Si Fuyao, Li Nanchen bravely endured the heavenly thunder and manifested himself in physical form, defying the heavens to change Si Fuyao's destiny. Si Fuyao also secretly gave her heart to Li Nanchen because of this.
