Plot Synopsis

A foolish ancestral訓誡 made the fates of a pair of twins go in completely different directions. One was almost strangled to death at birth, while the other was regarded as a precious treasure. Years later, she who was almost strangled to death became the substitute and medicine ingredient for her elder sister. She was like a shadow, having no identity, no freedom, and no one to love her. But one day, that person showed up! Note: “祖训” is more appropriately translated as “ancestral precepts” or “ancestral teachings” but I used “訓誡” here to try to convey a sense closer to the meaning. You may adjust according to the specific context and preferred usage.
