Trails in the Mountain Forest

Plot Synopsis

"Traces in the Mountain Forest" is set in Dashugou Village, which is in the outlying mountain range of Changbai Mountain. It unfolds around the disappearance case of forest ranger Zhao Gang, telling a story of the confrontation between justice and poaching forces, with both elements of mystery and the theme of ecological protection. Forest ranger Zhao Gang disappeared in the mountains. Villager Zhang Dabiao pointed the finger at the hunting dog Black Panther from Wang Dashan's family, claiming that it was lured away by a "mountain monster" and led to Zhao Gang's disappearance, causing panic among the villagers. Wang Dashan's daughter Wang Xiaoyan didn't believe the rumor. She found a pure black animal hair on Zhao Gang's raincoat, proving that it wasn't the hair of the black panther. Instead, it pointed to a large feline animal and also implicated poaching clues.
