Plot Synopsis

A poverty alleviation cadre, carrying modern knowledge and precious crop seeds, accidentally traveled back in time to the Great Chen Dynasty. This dynasty was worlds apart from modern society, with a strict hierarchy and a difficult livelihood for the people. When he first arrived, he only wanted to find a peaceful place and live an ordinary life in Baihua Town, quietly passing on modern farming techniques to enable the people to have enough to eat and wear. However, fate played tricks on him. A series of unexpected changes ensued, forcing him to leave the familiar town and make his way to the capital of the Great Chen Dynasty. Witnessing the internal and external troubles of the dynasty and the suffering of the people, his sense of responsibility was completely ignited. He resolutely took on the heavy burden and was determined to improve the fate of this country and nation with his own efforts.
