Plot Synopsis

Crown Prince Shen Mochen was betrayed by his fiancée Yan Qinxue and pushed off the cliff. He survived and became a beggar. On a snowy night, he met Song Zhiyun, the most popular courtesan in the Jiaofangsi (a government-run institution in ancient times for training and managing musicians, dancers, and prostitutes). The two fell in love. Shen Mochen investigated and clarified the unjust case of Song Zhiyun's father, exposed the conspiracy of the eldest imperial prince Shen Mohuai to collude with foreign enemies to usurp the throne and defeated him. Shen Mochen ascended the throne and made Song Zhiyun his empress. After returning victorious from a personal expedition, he went back to the Song residence, had the mansion renovated and accompanied her, living a happy life.
