Plot Synopsis

A doctor from Tsinghua University and Peking University gave up the opportunity in a prestigious school and went to a poverty-stricken county to teach as a volunteer teacher. She took over Class Two, which was known as a "troublesome class". In three years, she brought the students back on the right track. On a stormy night, the classroom collapsed and students were injured. She was slandered when trying to obtain funds. After the truth came to light, she resigned despite her injuries. Colleagues in the key middle school in the city were reasonable, while the No. 1 Middle School in the county fell apart after losing her. Through the comparison of rural and urban education, the play reveals the dilemma of teachers under the imbalance of educational resources, depicts the struggles of idealists, and raises the question of "where should the sincere hearts of educators be placed". With a warm ending, it shows that the light of education can illuminate the hearts that yearn for goodness.
