Plot Synopsis

Lin Aoxue, a woman who collects herbs in the deep mountains, accidentally rescued Xiao Yunting, the emperor in disguise who was seriously injured. The two stayed in a cave at the bottom of the cliff for a month and developed feelings for each other. After the emperor returned to the palace, Lin Aoxue was forced to marry into the Wu family to bring good luck and ward off disasters in order to conceal her pregnancy. Eight years later, her young son, Kang'er, showed astonishing talent in painting and calligraphy, but the Wu family forcibly took the title of child prodigy for their young master. The painting drawn by Kang'er was sent to Xiao Yunting's desk, which reminded him of Lin Aoxue and her son whom he had been looking for for eight years. Xiao Yunting rushed to the Wu family on a fast horse to find the painter. Kang'er cried out for a doctor for Lin Aoxue and plunged into Xiao Yunting's arms.
