Plot Synopsis
This drama tells the story that after the liberation of various parts of the country in the 1950s, the bandits in southeastern Guizhou still occupied the mountains and did harm to the common people. A gang of bandits led by a female bandit named Zheng Yaomei attacked the newly established people's regime and killed innocent villagers. Our Southwest Liberation Army deployed 100,000 troops to carry out a comprehensive suppression of bandits in Sichuan and Guizhou areas. Most of the bandit gangs were surrounded and wiped out. Zheng Yaomei escaped but was finally captured. After being reported to the central government, it received instructions from Chairman Mao to be treated leniently. After being granted special amnesty, Zheng Yaomei was extremely grateful and determined to turn over a new leaf and start anew. She went up the mountain several times to negotiate with the remaining bandits to persuade them to surrender.
