Plot Synopsis

After the failure of the Great Revolution in 1927, the older generation of Chinese Communists represented by Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai tenaciously carried out the revolutionary struggle on both fronts of the revolutionary base areas and the Kuomintang-controlled areas. This is a heroic epic. It passionately eulogizes a large number of revolutionary pioneers for their unwavering belief in persevering and fighting bloody battles in the search for the correct path of the Chinese revolution, as well as their revolutionary spirit of sacrificing their lives.
