Plot Synopsis

The Yang family was wiped out by the villains because they possessed a secret treasure. Although Yang Guo escaped the disaster, he was poisoned by a mysterious Gu (a kind of poison in ancient Chinese legends) planted by the enemy that no one could cure. The Saintess of the Nianhua Sect saved Yang Guo and took him as her eldest disciple. Yang Guo then followed the Saintess of the Nianhua Sect to study medicine. Years later, Yang Guo had grown up. As the only disciple of the Saintess of the Nianhua Sect, he had mastered a set of exquisite medical skills. However, Yang Guo was poisoned by the Gu, and he carried the deep hatred of his family's annihilation. The Saintess of the Nianhua Sect tried her best to suppress the poison but couldn't detoxify it. When Yang Guo's Gu poison flared up again and the Saintess of the Nianhua Sect couldn't suppress it either, she had no choice but to search for a life-saving remedy for her beloved disciple.
