Plot Synopsis

Chu Mian learned that her adoptive father had taken her in because he was interested in her fate and wanted her to ward off disasters for Chu Xing, the eldest daughter of the Chu family. Chu Mian was beautiful, and Chu Xing hated her for stealing the limelight. She persuaded her father to send Chu Mian to the slums, and later had her sent to Wind Island on the pretext of mental illness.
