Plot Synopsis

According to the ancestral teachings, the three branches of the Qu family hold a small sacrifice every year and a grand sacrifice every ten years to worship their ancestors. As a descendant of the third branch of the Qu family, Qu Sanyuan hasn't worshiped his ancestors for more than thirty years due to his family's poverty. Moreover, in order to marry his beloved back then, he didn't hesitate to go against the arranged marriage by his parents, which made the third branch of the Qu family even less favored by the descendants of the Qu family.
