The Pains of Middle Age

Plot Synopsis

The short drama "The Pain of Middle Age" tells the story of a female lead who goes through hardships in marriage and finally makes a successful comeback. The female lead, Shen Yimeng, used to be an outstanding person in her work. However, in order to take care of the elderly in Chen Nanke's family, she chose to leave the workplace and became a full-time housewife to look after the elderly of the Chen family at home. Even so, it didn't earn her any kindness from the Chen family. She was left out in the cold and ridiculed. Chen Yajun, Chen Nanke's sister, relying on her superior family status and her father's partiality, often provoked and made things difficult for Shen Yimeng, with her words full of contempt. And because Shen Yimeng hadn't been able to have a child for many years, she became a sinner in the eyes of the Chen family.
