The Mystery of the Snake's Shadow

Plot Synopsis

Deep in the mountains, Chen the foreman makes a profit by catching rare snakes, often being scolded by his grandmother. His grandson Xiaojun is accused of being punished because of the snake skin rash on his forehead and is disgusted with his grandfather's snake-catching. The medicinal materials merchant Huang San tempts Chen the foreman to catch the Golden-striped White Snake King at a high price, and then wants to take it by force at a low price. He fails in both night theft and creating illusions. Chen the foreman's family thinks they have offended the mountain god and release the Golden-striped White Snake King. The Golden-striped White Snake King sprays venom on Xiaojun's face, and Huang San appears to expose the conspiracy. When evacuating, Xiaojun's snake skin rash disappears, and Chen the foreman then knows that the Golden-striped White Snake King has spiritual power. Soon, Huang San's gang is bitten to death by snakes, appealing to respect nature and protect wild animals.
