Plot Synopsis

Yunyun, who was only eight years old, was abandoned right after she was born. Her adoptive mother passed away early, and her adoptive father Sun Sheng remarried. Her stepmother Zhao Xiu'e and grandmother Hu Lianhua had been abusing Yunyun all the time. Yunyun accidentally discovered that her stepmother was having an affair with someone. The stepmother threatened Yunyun not to blabber. Frightened, Yunyun accidentally pushed Zhao Xiu'e down, causing her to have a miscarriage. Afraid of being beaten by her adoptive father and grandmother, Yunyun ran away on a rainy night and finally fainted in front of Ding Yuehua's house. Seeing that Yunyun was pitiful, Ding Yuehua and her husband took her in. However, Yunyun's arrival was opposed by Ding Yuehua's mother-in-law Wu Xiumei and her adopted daughter Wang Huaiyu.
