Plot Synopsis

When Wang Guifen was on her way home at night passing by the reed marshes, she accidentally bumped into her daughter-in-law Li Qing having a secret meeting with her adulterer Liang Hongshen. Outraged, she was about to tell her son. Fearing that their affair would be exposed, Li Qing and Liang Hongshen cut off Wang Guifen's tongue and then threw her into the river.
