Plot Synopsis

The play mainly unfolds around the story line that Lin Ruo, the daughter of General Zuo Lin Fang, is ordered to marry Lu Junyi, the Qi King. Gu Shengjing, the third prince of the Colored Glaze Kingdom who disguises himself as Xiao Bai, in order to disrupt the internal affairs of the Daxing Kingdom, poisons Lu Junyi, the Qi King who regards him as a bosom friend, and Lin Ruo, the princess who has just married into the Qi King's mansion, with the mandarin duck poison. He originally thought that by getting rid of Lu Junyi, he could complete his mission. However, he then discovers that Lu Junyi and Lin Ruo, whom he has carefully calculated against, actually sincerely regard him as a bosom friend. And不知不觉间, he has already fallen in love with Lin Ruo.
