Plot Synopsis

It is said that originally, Guanyin Bodhisattva ordered Ji Gong to take Tang Long, the reincarnation of the Golden Cicada, to complete the task of subduing a hundred demons before he could return to the celestial ranks. So the two of them formed a master-disciple relationship and set out on the journey together. During one demon-catching incident, Ji Gong seriously injured and killed the Centipede Spirit, which made the Spider Spirits bear a grudge. The master and disciple also went their separate ways due to their different ideas about catching demons. After separating, Tang Long was captured by the Spider Spirits while saving a group of demon catchers. Coincidentally, Ji Gong happened to encounter the demon catchers who had escaped and returned. After learning what had happened, Ji Gong rushed to the Cave of the Spider Spirits without hesitation.
