Plot Synopsis

A sudden fire broke out during the Lu family's gathering. Jin Feng, the mother-in-law, on the grounds of having given birth to a son, stopped Wen Man from saving her daughter Guoguo. Wen Man pinned her hopes on her husband Lu Ze. However, in the fire scene, Lu Ze abandoned his daughter and saved Su Hua, his first love, and her son instead. Guoguo passed away due to untimely rescue, and hatred took root in Wen Man's heart. Without the fetters of her daughter, Wen Man no longer endured the humiliation from her mother-in-law and the indifference of her husband and chose to fight back. Lu Ze and his mother took risks for a huge insurance policy and tried to harm her. Fortunately, with the help of her good friend Li Yanzhou, Wen Man launched a desperate counterattack and finally brought the culprits to justice.
