Plot Synopsis

Ye Xiaoyao had outstanding military achievements during his ten years of garrisoning the border. On his way back to his hometown, he and his daughter Xiao Qi rescued the emperor Zhao Guanlan who was on a private visit incognito. Later, he was schemed by the emperor to participate in a martial arts contest to recruit a son-in-law, and he fell in love with Princess Zhao Wan'er.
