The Guardians of the Mountain

Plot Synopsis

Tang Wei, a young girl from a mountain village, in order to support her boyfriend Xu Feng's dream of pursuing studies, didn't hesitate to cut off her beloved long hair, borrowed money everywhere, and even risked selling her blood. Facing the opposition from her family and doubts from the outside world, she always firmly believed that Xu Feng would eventually make something of himself. Xu Feng was admitted to a prestigious school in the United States, but due to his poor family circumstances, he was faced with the dilemma of giving up. With the great help of Tang Wei and the villagers, Xu Feng embarked on the road of studying abroad, promising to marry Tang Wei upon his return after completing his studies. However, eight years passed and there was no news from Xu Feng at all. Tang Wei remained steadfast, taking care of Xu Feng's father, shouldering the debts, and still sticking to her promise under tremendous pressure. Just when the creditors came to demand repayment, a turning point of fate was about to come.
