Plot Synopsis

Sun Yaozu is a senior three student in a poverty-stricken mountain village, facing an important choice in life. His grandfather suddenly fell seriously ill, and the family was unable to pay the high surgical fees, which made the already difficult family situation even worse. His father tried to borrow money everywhere but failed. Sun Yaozu then had the idea of giving up the college entrance examination and going out to work. However, both his grandfather and father insisted that he continue his studies, hoping that he could change his fate through knowledge. The support from Han Chunni, his childhood sweetheart, gave him great encouragement, but she herself was facing the dilemma of being forced to get married. Sun Yaozu was determined to achieve good grades in the exam and vowed to change the fate of his family with knowledge and lead the whole family to a happy and prosperous future.
