The Fox and the Scholar

Plot Synopsis

A down-and-out scholar who has failed the imperial examinations for many years accidentally saves a fairy fox on the verge of death. In order to repay his kindness, the fairy fox wants to form a romantic relationship between the fairy and the mortal with the scholar. However, due to their mysterious pasts, they experience many hardships. Where will this tragic love across species go? Can they break through the shackles of the secular world when they fall in love? Will heaven fulfill their love between a human and a fox?
