Plot Synopsis

Huijue, a disciple of Lingjue Temple, defied his master's order and sneaked into the forbidden Chenglu Hall after his senior fellow apprentice died suddenly under mysterious circumstances. There, he witnessed a powerful nobleman's wife conspiring with the abbot. By accident, he discovered that the temple was using the guise of "praying for a child" to hide the children who were being used by the imperial court to make medicine. Qiuyue, a maidservant, was sent by the prime minister on a secret mission to assassinate Huijue, but was subdued by him instead.
