Plot Synopsis

Song Ci passed the imperial examination in the capital and became a Jinshi. He was about to return home to get married and then go to the border town with his good friend Meng Liangchen. However, until the day of his wedding, Song Ci's father, Song Gong, still hadn't come back home. When the two newlyweds were paying their respects in the wedding ceremony, a carriage brought back his father's corpse.
