Plot Synopsis

The story takes place in a place called Yuanjiang County in Northeast China. During the sowing season when "the spring grass seems sparse when seen from afar but is hardly visible when close up", the farmers in Yongping Village, Xiushui Township, Yuanjiang County, rushed to plant the village's motorized land. However, the good times didn't last long. Just when the farmers were沉浸在 "being happy to see the seedlings emerging", Hua Xingyu, the township head, instructed Li Lin, the village director of Yongping Village, to collude with local ruffians like Zheng San and gather all the tractors in the township to destroy the young seedlings everywhere overnight...
