The Farewell of Yutang That Year

Plot Synopsis

A tyrant selects concubines, and all young women without a betrothal contract have to enter the palace. The childhood sweetheart, the crown prince Su Zijin, suddenly cancels his engagement with Ye Yutang and instead marries Ye Niannian, Ye Yutang's cousin, as the crown princess. Ye Yutang enters the palace for the concubine selection. Because of Su Zijin's words, she wears the purple dress that the tyrant hates the most, but unexpectedly, she is selected by the tyrant on the spot and enters the palace as a concubine. After returning home, Ye Yutang suppresses the news of her selection and sees Su Zijin who is inseparable from Ye Niannian. She completely gives up. After entering the palace as a concubine, the rumored tyrant dotes on her greatly, while Su Zijin begins to regret his previous decision.
