Plot Synopsis

Li Gang was also known as Mr. Liangxi, the Lay Buddhist of Liangxi, and the Ailing Elder of Liangxi. In the second year of Zhenghe during the reign of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty, Li Gang passed the imperial examination and successively held official positions until he became the Deputy Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices. Li Gang was a famous minister who resisted the Jin invaders during the transition between the Northern Song Dynasty and the Southern Song Dynasty, and a national hero.
