Plot Synopsis

During the Tianyuan period, Xia Yuhe, a young palace maid, worked in the laundry department of the imperial palace. She was constantly bullied. By chance, she met and got to know Emperor Xiao Jingce. After having an intimate encounter with him, Xiao Jingce actually mistook Xia Yuhe for someone who was approaching him for fame and fortune. To keep her quiet, he threw down a jade pendant and walked away, leaving Xia Yuhe heartbroken. Soon after, Xia Yuhe discovered that she was pregnant.
