Plot Synopsis

The emperor Zhao Qian discovered that the imperial concubine had an affair with his younger brother Zhao Yan and gave birth to a son who intended to seize the throne. However, he pretended not to know and made the son the crown prince and abdicated. At the abdication ceremony, the three of them forced the palace. Zhao Qian laughed instead and revealed the real crown prince he had raised outside the palace and captured them all. After using blood tests to confirm their identities, he punished everyone. After learning about the evil deeds of his clique, Zhao Qian went on a private visit incognito, punished corrupt officials and brought peace to the world.
