Plot Synopsis

Tang Baobao knew nothing about her identity as the only descendant of the Gu family. The Gu family used to be powerful, but was betrayed by An Ning and her mother (Tang Baobao's elder female cousin). Bai Yin, Tang Baobao's mother, jumped off a cliff with the baby Tang Baobao in her arms. Fortunately, they were saved by Grandpa Tang Wen. Since then, Tang Baobao had been living with her grandpa in the deep mountains and old forests. At the age of twenty-one, in order to continue to protect Tang Baobao, Tang Wen cooperated with Lu Aoshuang, Lu Yanshen's grandfather, and arranged for Tang Baobao to marry Lu Yanshen by agreement. Tang Baobao made a deal with her grandpa that she would marry Lu Yanshen for two years and would be free after the expiration of the marriage term.
