Plot Synopsis

After Yulan divorced Zhihe, she raised her daughter Dongmei alone. Life was already difficult, and then Zhihe was imprisoned. She also took in the child Liucheng. Dongmei dropped out of school voluntarily to support Liucheng's schooling. Fortunately, her aunt often helped, and Jianguo, her childhood friend, also often offered a helping hand. Jianguo returned after serving in the army and brought back his female comrade-in-arms Shuyao. At first, Dongmei was jealous, but after getting along, she confirmed Jianguo's feelings. The four of them gradually became good friends. When Liucheng was at school, he helped the owner retrieve a bag, and the owner turned out to be his biological mother.
