Plot Synopsis

The story mainly tells that Xie Yu, the daughter of the Xie family, one of the four major families, fell in love with Li Yan, the prince, and they got engaged. Later, in order to collect evidence of the Qi prince's rebellion, the Xie family married Xie Yu to the Qi prince. After the Qi prince was overthrown, the Xie family was falsely accused and their family was ruined. The empress dowager threatened Xie Yu with the lives of her family members to keep her from telling the truth, thus unfolding a tragic love story between Xie Yu and Li Yan.
