Plot Synopsis

After being kidnapped, Su Nian was brutally murdered and her body was cruelly dismembered. On the seventh day after her death, her soul returned home, only to find that her father Xia Jiang and mother Lin Wan doted on their adopted daughter Xia Qing, but were cold and heartless towards her. After Su Nian's body was discovered, Lin Wan and Xia Jiang, as a forensic doctor and the chief of public security respectively, participated in the investigation. However, they never recognized that the deceased was their own biological daughter. Instead, they were concerned about the safety of their adopted daughter. Su Nian watched all this in silence, feeling nothing but chill and despair. When the truth was gradually unraveled, Xia Jiang and Lin Wan finally realized that the unrecognizable body in front of them was their pitiful biological daughter. They were filled with remorse, but it was already too late.
