Plot Synopsis
The story takes place in the late Qing Dynasty. The great detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson came to China for a visit and stayed at the Xianlai Inn. Unexpectedly, the inn was heavily guarded by officers and soldiers, creating an atmosphere of great tension and unease. It turned out that a batch of priceless jewels of the imperial court had disappeared without a trace, and General Booker, who was responsible for escorting the jewels, was also beheaded. So Holmes and Watson stayed on, attempting to solve the case. Soon, various clues left at the scene implicated a horse dealer named Jin Mazhang. However, Bai Furong, the female innkeeper of the Xianlai Inn, got ahead of them and tipped off Jin Mazhang. When the group arrived at Jin Mazhang's place, all that awaited them was an empty house and General Booker's severed head. At the same time, Bai Furong was also secretly investigating the truth of the case and discovered that all of this seemed to be intricately related to the traitor Du Wen
