Plot Synopsis

The former emperor died suddenly and unexpectedly. The crown prince of the current dynasty, who was about to inherit the throne, was chased and killed by his uncle, Duke Duan, and fell off the cliff with his whereabouts unknown. In order to prevent Duke Duan from seizing the throne by taking advantage of the situation and causing chaos in the Great Qian Dynasty, Princess Chang, Li Wanqing, found Li Lang (a sesame cake seller) who looked exactly like the crown prince from among the common people and asked him to pretend to be the crown prince to deceive the rebels. However, unexpectedly, Li Lang flatly refused, saying that he only wanted to sell cakes well and live an ordinary life with his wife, Jin Mei.
