Plot Synopsis

Qiao Xiyue, a country girl, was orphaned when her parents passed away and was regarded as a jinx by the villagers. Lonely and helpless, she wanted to end her life. At the last moment, Pei Shaoshang, a young master in distress, rushed in. The two saved each other's lives and fell in love at first sight and privately promised to be together for life. One month later, Pei Shaoshang needed to return to the city to deal with the family infighting. Worried that there might be danger that would harm Qiao Xiyue, Pei Shaoshang left a marriage contract, promising that he would surely come back to marry her. Five years have passed since then. Qiao Xiyue gave birth to a daughter, Pei Tianen, alone and has been waiting for Pei Shaoshang to come and pick her up.
