Plot Synopsis

In the early 1950s, eight thousand female soldiers from Shandong left their parents, relatives and friends behind and gathered at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains. This was a place farthest from the ocean, a wilderness filled with pure years. Along with the chilly winds blowing across the north and south of the Tianshan Mountains, there were two hundred thousand men. Just like the gentle breeze and rain bringing the touch of spring and rippling with spring sentiment, the flower-like girls injected countless tender feelings into this masculine world. This was a special period of history, a time full of mixed emotions. The young girls not only had to face the challenges of nature but also had to make choices between friendship and responsibility, love and loyalty. Here, heroic spirits might waver, and tender affections lingered.
