Plot Synopsis

The story unfolds around Wang Jianguo's family in Liuqianhu Village, Shenyang, Northeast China in the 1980s. It is divided into 12 short stories to show in detail: Flower and Note, There Is a Daughter in the Wang Family, Rival in Love Crisis, Presenting Buddha with Borrowed Flowers, Families of Martyrs and Military Servicemen, Hero of Saving Lives, Old Tree in Blossom, School Conflicts, Former Comrades-in-Arms, Election of the Captain, Return of Xiaofang's Mother, and the Tombstone of Martyrs. This drama includes hilarious Northeast rural comedies, memorable love stories, and also very positive emotional stories about the anti-Japanese war soldiers.
