Plot Synopsis

The grandfathers of the Xu and Nan families were on good terms and had once made an agreement for the next generation to marry. Unexpectedly, Nan's father eloped with Xu's mother, which caused resentment between the two families. On his deathbed, Grandpa Nan still cared about the marriage alliance. Xu's father also hoped to get back the jade ruyi that symbolized the marriage alliance. Thus, the next generation of the Xu and Nan families got married out of consideration for their interests. At first, the two hated each other. However, during the process of getting along, they gradually developed feelings for each other. Later, Nan's father and Xu's mother who had eloped returned. The two joined hands and worked together to overcome all difficulties and finally got married happily.
