Plot Synopsis

Fengcheng is located in the southern border area of Daxia, bordering on the Dongyi Kingdom. The female protagonist, Chu Qiaoyu, is the founder of the Jinyiwei (Imperial Secret Police) in Daxia and is respected as the Venerable Master. After her husband passed away, she went into seclusion here with her daughter Chu Ruoyun and made a living by selling meat. One day many years later, Mu Yuanshuang, the Chief of the Jinyiwei, paid a visit. Mu Yuanshuang begged Chu Qiaoyu to come out of seclusion, saying that the situation in the imperial court was turbulent and the turmoil in the Jianghu (the world of martial artists) had risen again, and the court needed her to revive the might of the Jinyiwei. However, looking at her innocent daughter, Chu Qiaoyu remained silent for a moment and then said that she had already made up her mind to retire from the world, and all the past was like floating clouds.
