Marrying into the Eastern Palace

Plot Synopsis

Shen Lizhu, the legitimate daughter of a noble family, had been in love with Crown Prince Li Yanxi for many years. However, at the concubine selection banquet, she was reprimanded by the Crown Prince for her improper words and deeds, thus losing her eligibility to participate in the selection. What's more, she was exiled to the south of the Yangtze River by her family. Unexpectedly, she then encountered the seriously injured Li Yanxi. Li Yanxi failed to recognize her as she had disfigured herself on purpose. During their time together, he gradually fell in love with her. Shen Lizhu was reluctant to get involved in any entanglement, and so Li Yanxi embarked on a long journey to win her back.
