Plot Synopsis

In the spring of 1900, Meng Xianghe, a shisha merchant, returned to Qingcheng with his wife and children and got involved in the conspiracy of Lin Qichuan and Sun San's gang to embezzle the Meng family's property. However, relying on his marksmanship and his relationships with Luo Wu and Captain Wang, Meng Xianghe made Lin Qichuan's gang give up the idea of swallowing up the Meng family's property. With a keen sense of business, Meng Xianghe bought a large amount of unsalable shisha and became the richest man in Qingcheng. After the outbreak of the 1911 Revolution, Meng Xianghe organized the business community in Qingcheng to raise funds for the revolutionary army, and was almost ruined by Lin Qichuan's gang.
