Plot Synopsis

As the daughter of the wealthy Gu family in Kyoto, Gu Yuebai cruelly severed ties with the Gu family in order to marry Xie Jingxuan, the second son of the Xie family. After marrying into the Xie family, she was discriminated against by her mother-in-law Zhang Caiying because of her background. When Xie Jingxuan returned from the battlefield, Zhang Caiying, on the pretext of taking care of the widows and legitimate grandsons, prevented him from reuniting with Gu Yuebai and their daughter.
