Plot Synopsis

Gu Ping'an and her three children were hunted down by the empress. Gu Ping'an accidentally fell off a cliff and was picked up by the killer Xia Dachuan, who was moved with compassion and adopted her. Many years later, Xia Dachuan was terminally ill and decided to commit suicide. Xia Zhiyi pawned her personal jade pendant for this. After Xia Dachuan drank the poison, he was found by Lu Wanqing and several others who came to seek revenge. Xia Dachuan was about to reveal that Xia Zhiyi was Gu Ping'an when he was interrupted by Gu Hongyun. Xia Dachuan passed away before he could say it. Lu Wanqing decided to let bygones be bygones, but Gu Hongyun transferred his hatred onto Xia Zhiyi.
